1. What is Partner Certification Kickstart?

Partner Certification Kickstart is a 6-week accelerated training and coaching program designed
to support Google Cloud partners as they prepare for a Google Cloud certification. The program
is currently available in English and Japanese for the following certifications:

2. What are the benefits of Partner Certification Kickstart?
Participants who enroll in Partner Certification Kickstart will benefit from:

● A structured training and support schedule
● Free access to Google Cloud on-demand technical training courses
● Weekly nurture emails with tips, best practices, and resources to support your path to
certification
● Commemorative SWAG upon completing and passing the exam (Professional level)
● Free exam voucher upon completing the recommended hands-on labs

3. What are the prerequisites for Partner Certification Kickstart?
The participant’s own work experience is considered highly valuable. We recommend that
participants use the provided resources throughout the Partner Certification Kickstart, along
with their relevant experience to prepare for a Google Cloud certification exam.
The Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Architect exam assesses your ability to:
Design and plan a cloud solution architecture
Manage and provision the cloud solution infrastructure
Design for security and compliance
Analyze and optimize technical and business processes
Manage implementations of cloud architecture
Ensure solution and operations reliability
The Professional Data Engineer exam assesses your ability to:
Design data processing systems
Build and operationalize data processing systems
Operationalize machine learning models
Ensure solution quality
The Associate Cloud Engineer exam assesses your ability to:
Set up a cloud solution environment
Plan and configure a cloud solution
Deploy and implement a cloud solution
Ensure successful operation of a cloud solution

4. If I successfully complete Partner Certification Kickstart, does it guarantee that I will

pass the certification exam?
Partner Certification Kickstart will familiarize you with topics you may encounter on the exam.
The practice exam also helps familiarize you with questions you may encounter.

These resources will help you determine your readiness, or if you need more preparation and/or
experience.
Successful completion of Partner Certification Kickstart and sample questions does not
guarantee that you will pass the certification exam. The actual exam is longer and covers a
wider range of topics.
5. Does Partner Certification Kickstart require the participant to travel?

No. The training courses provided through Partner Certification Kickstart are available
on-demand and the program can be completed remotely.
6. How many can participate from my organization?

We don’t have an established limit to the number of individuals who can participate from a given
organization. However, we ask that you please review the recommended prerequisites before
nominating a colleague.
7. Can I participate in multiple Partner Certification Kickstart programs?

Yes. You may participate in all three of the Associate Cloud Engineer, Professional Cloud
Architect, and Professional Data Engineer Partner Certification Kickstart programs. To
participate in each Partner Certification Kickstart program, please register separately using the
unique links below.

8. Can I participate in the same Partner Certification Kickstart program more than once?
No. Participants cannot participate in one of the Partner Certification Kickstart programs more
than once. For example, a participant cannot complete the same hands-on training labs more
than once to receive a secondary exam voucher. However, participants will have continued
access to Google Courses to review on-demand training content as much as they like.
Training and Support

9. Is there a time limit or deadline to complete the recommended weekly training?
No. We don’t require participants to complete the weekly training by a specific date, however it is
highly recommended that individuals stay on track with the 6-week training schedule and take
the exam while the content is fresh in their minds.
10. I missed a portion of the training. Can I still participate in the next round of Partner
Certification Kickstart?
Participants can access on-demand office hours. You can also leverage the Partner Certification
Kickstart curriculum for the weekly training content, and ask any follow-up questions.
Office Hours
11. I missed an office hour session. Are they recorded and available to watch
on-demand?
The on-demand office hours link will be available on the registration page and the weekly
communication emails, so you can revisit the content.
12. My technical question was not addressed during the office hours. Where can I send
my questions?
For questions regarding the program, contact [email protected]. For
questions regarding hands-on labs or courses within Google Courses, contact
[email protected].
13. Where can I find recordings of the on-demand office hours sessions?
The on-demand office hours link will be available on the enrollment/registration page of the
Partner Certification Kickstart Program for each certification program. The link can also be
found in the Partner Certification Kickstart weekly communication emails upon enrollment.
The Certification Exam
14. Is there a deadline for when to take the certification exam?

No. However, to get the most out of this experience, it is important that each learner stay
on-course with the weekly training curriculum. We recommend certification soon after the
program ends while the information is fresh and top of mind.
15. I’ve successfully completed Partner Certification Kickstart and received a voucher.
When will my examination voucher expire?
Your voucher must be redeemed and applied to your scheduled certification exam within 2
weeks from receiving it, as vouchers expire within 2 weeks of receipt.

16. Does Partner Certification Kickstart cover the cost of the certification exam? Are
examination vouchers provided?
As part of this program, Google Cloud Partners can earn a certification exam voucher upon
completion of the hands-labs listed below. The voucher you are sent depends on the program
you are enrolled in. If you have enrolled into the Partner Certification Kickstart Program for the
Professional Data Engineer, you must complete the specified Data Engineer hands-on labs to
earn the voucher.
