INTRODUCTION
The Work Immersion is a part of the Senior High School Curriculum of the
Department of Education (DepEd) in which the students will experience the actual job
and work guidelines that is simulated in every companies. The work immersion is not
an actual agreement to work but rather a process in which the students demonstrate
the process of working and improve the knowledge shared by school. Also, this is
where the imitation of the real work takes shape (Philjob.net, 2016).
Immersion is important because it can help the students to be more familiar with the
realities of working whether they pursue a degree or not (Sephton, 2016). Also, it
provides a valuable experience to every student as it allows the students to discover
what the real world really is and exercise the opportunities that awaits them when they
graduate from school. Work immersion does allow students to exhibit the skills that
they've learned in the school throughout their young lives and, also it allows them to
evaluate whether their chosen fields whether if they are for it or not and lastly, the
students learn discipline organization and people skills while they train out in the
workforce. Work immersion is one of the course requirements for graduation. A
senior high school student had to undergo work immersion in a business
organization/establishment whose work requirements are related to specialization.
Through this work immersion, the students are exposed to and become familiarize
with work-related environment related to their field specialization. "Work immersion
is a key feature in the senior high school curriculum. It can be conducted in different
ways depending on the purposes and needs of the learners." Previous Education
Secretary Leonor Briones said. The guidelines said work immersion in ICT can range
320 hours will enable students to become familiar with the work place, experience
work place simulation and apply their competencies in areas of specialization.

the amendment could not be made effective in time for the 1940 elections, the
National Assembly through Commonwealth Act No. 607 created a statutory
Commission on Elections, giving thereto the same powers which the Commission
would have under the Constitution. The act became effective upon its approval on
August 22, 1940. The Commission immediately functioned on September 14, 1940,
and supervised the December 10, 1940 elections.
Constitutional Commission
The constitutional amendment creating the Commission was finally approved on
December 2, 1940. On June 21, 1941, the Commonwealth Act No. 657 was enacted
reorganizing the Commission as a constitutional body. The members of the statutory
Commission continued as member of the constitutional Commission. The subordinate
personnel, records, documents, and property together with its unexpected balance in
the appropriation were likewise transferred to the newly-organized Commission. The
Chairman and Members of the Commission had a term of nine years each - a member
being replaced every three years except those first appointed who were given nine, six
and three-years terms, respectively. The 1973 Constitution enlarged the membership
of the Commission from three to mine but reduced their term of office from nine to
seven years.

LEARNING
We learned a lot from our work immersion, from filling out the referrals for people,
from encoding datas, and helping other people with all of your heart. First, I learned
how to assisted people, keeping myself calm and have the longest patience we have.
Work Immersion help me as a student, be exposed to real life scenarios where in you
can test your abilities if you are able to cope up with the various factors that can affect
both your skills and decisions in the workplace. I learned the value of education in our
life. Education means a lot in everyone's life as it facilitates our learning, knowledge
and skill. It completely changes our mind and personality and helps us to attain the
positive attitudes Having knowledge from school will help us to be successful, no one
will trick us because we know the right and wrong. Not everyone experienced to be in
school that's why until now they don't know the things that are needed to do.
Work immersion gives us prior knowledge, we learned how to install and configure
computer systems like assembled and disassembled computers, set up computers, and
as well maintaining computer systems and networks . Having basic computer literacy
skills can help us onto more advanced skills such as programming, networking and
many more. Doing the task given to us enhance our productivity and efficiency in the
workplace and having the skills can increase job prospects and opportunities.

REFLECTION
The mandatory immersion for G12 students served as a good introduction to the
experience of working. We could say that was a really excellent opportunity to learn
more after spending almost two month immersed in the task. We would cherish it for
the rest of our lives because it was truly a wonderful event for us. We experience
being an employee for the first time while we are at work. For all of us in senior high,
work immersion is crucial to preparing for any challenge or task in the real world.
Work immersion is a very exciting, because you have been interact to many various
people like the boss, client and the co-immersant, work immersion is help you to
develop skills and experience for the future career and to develop team work to your

I discovered more skill and experience, so in the future. I have a small knowledge

to know the deal of our future career and most importantly , we get to develop our
skills in our chosen field with the hustle, fun and learning that I’ve had in my work
immersion . We can say that over all our work immersion is great we learn a lot while
we’re exploring and learning. Work immersion made us realized for all things that we
lack of and change us to become a better one during our immersion.
RECOMMENDATIONS
For the incoming immersionists, they must observe good working ethics. Always
report to work on time. Cooperate with other co-immersants and company heads.
Strictly observe company policies and regulations. Be responsible enough for any task
given to you. Bring lots of patience to your work. Always wear a smile. Be
professional in your work manner and in your appearance. Be hardworking and
practice self-discipline. Distractions must be minimized in the environment in the
work.
Accommodating on-the-job trainees can truly be beneficial not only to the learners but
also to the companies that provide opportunities for this type of learning. There is
wisdom on the front lines. Such training can be an investment that will be valuable to
the company later on. This is also why trainees should take their internship seriously,
as it can become a powerful tool and possibly even a source of recommendation when
they take that big leap from being students to career professionals.
On-the-job training can be an effective training strategy, providing an employee with
an abundance of real-world skills and knowledge; however, it must be carefully
implemented and facilitated in order to achieve the maximum results.
