Students grew up listening to fairytales. Everyone has grown up hearing about the movies, watching the
movies or reading about the movies. This is a topic that students connect to easily.

Give students a moment to think about fairy tales and if they have ever felt like their life feels like one
and if so which one.

How does this lesson connect to/reflect the local community?


Students can talk to their families about the story elements of a fairytale. Especially the ones they grew
up listening to or read about.
