At SWISD, we are dedicated to promoting educational excellence by creating opportunities for our students, staff, and community. The External Funding Department plays an important role in achieving these goals by securing and managing grants, partnerships, and other funding sources that support our District's initiatives.
Our mission is to enhance the educational experience within SWISD by identifying, obtaining, and overseeing external funds. We strive to support innovative programs, advanced resources, and enriching activities that meet the needs and contribute to the overall success of our students and staff.
What We Do
Grant Acquisition: We actively seek out and apply for grants from federal, state, and local sources to fund projects that align with our district's strategic goals.
- Grant Management: We provide grant management for external funds including, but not limited to: Title I A, Title II A, Title III A, Title IV A, State Compensatory Education (SCE), Carl Perkins (CTE), PreK4SA Grant, TEA Grants, DOE Grants.
- Resource Management: We ensure that all external funds are managed responsibly, meeting all compliance and reporting requirements to maximize their impact.
