We are deeply saddened by the untimely death of Professor Udo Schumacher (*October 19, 1956 † July 23, 2024). With him, Thieme has lost an important and inspirational author. As one of the PROMETHEUS authors, together with Professor Michael Schünke, Professor Erik Schulte and the two graphic designers Markus Voll and Karl Wesker, he created a unique standard work of anatomy with and for Thieme.
