Registration

[edit]

The registration form includes both online participation and onsite participation in Taiwan. Registration will be open until the start of the event. Some useful information will be sent in the upcoming weeks to people who registered, including the link to the event platform for online participants.

Please note that registration is free of charge, but no scholarship to attend the online or onsite event will be provided.

Platform and tools

[edit]

Online participants will be able to join the conference, follow the sessions and interact with other participants on the platform GatherTown. The link to access GatherTown will be sent by email to people who completed registration a few days before the event.

Part of the program (Day 1 and Day 2) will be delivered from the onsite event in Taipei, on their day time. The other part of the program (Day 1.5 and Day 2.5) will be produced online, at times that will be more friendly to participants located on the European, African and American continents.

For people wo cannot access GatherTown or who prefer watching the conference on Youtube, you can watch the livestream of the conference on Wikidata Taiwan's Youtube channel. Please note that during Day 1.5 and Day 2.5 (online conference), comments will be disactivated on Youtube, so you won't be able to interact with speakers and other participants on this platform.

In any case, the contents of the conference will be available online during or after the conference.

Languages

[edit]

All sessions of Day 1.5 and Day 2.5 are taking place in English. The pre-recorded videos will have captions in English and Traditional Chinese.

We also offer AI-powered translated live captions in Arabic, French, German and Spanish that you can access through this link. Warning: this is an experimental feature, we do not guarantee its quality!

During Day 1 and Day 2 (parts of the program delivered live from Taiwan and broadcasted online), sessions will take place in different languages (Traditional Chinese, English). The AI-powered captions will not be active; however, you can access interpretation in English or Traditional Chinese by joining the "translation room" on the GatherTown platform.
