Merging items

Hallo ElfjeTwaalfje,

For merging items, you may want to use the merge.js gadget from help page about merging. It has an option "Request deletion for extra items on RfD" to automatically place a request to delete the emptied page. This way of nominating makes it a lot easier for the admins to process the requests.

Ik heb zelf trouwens bijna altijd het vinkje aanstaan om het laagste nummer te bewaren. Daardoor verwijder ik soms het andere item dan dat je voorstelt. - - (Cycn/talk) 10:33, 11 February 2014 (UTC)

Ik hanteer de reden op de help pagina: Once it has been determined that the items should be merged, one item is selected to be the recipient of the sitelinks and properties. This is usually the item that is used more often (possible indicators are links to the items or the number of sitelinks and statements it has). If you can't tell, best choose the one with the lowest Q####, as it is the oldest item.

Dus als er meer items staan op het hoger genummerde item, dan laat ik die staan en nomineer ik het laagste nummer. Maar dat lijkt me gewoon een kwestie van smaak. ElfjeTwaalfje (talk) 10:37, 11 February 2014 (UTC)

Hoi Elfje. When removing the links to the en-wiki disambiguations somehow the links to the genuine eo-wiki articles were removed as well. Thank you for fixing that. I think the reason was my faulty mouse that generated double clicks when pressing once. With my new mouse this problem should be solved. Cheers, --Gereon K. (talk) 08:05, 2 June 2015 (UTC)
