RXerself - Indonesian intangible cultural heritages: Around 11,000 intangible cultural heritages are registered in the official list of the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture.1 These range from traditional dances to local speciality dishes, agricultural practices, rituals, and ceremonies. The ample supply of the heritages in the list made it a staple of source to be used in online editing events by the Indonesian Wikidata community. However, the variety of the heritages present may not be smooth when they are inserted into Wikidata as constraints are frequently met. Several examples of these would be presented during the session and we hope to receive more input from the wider Wikidata community in tackling this challenge.
In context of the presentation, Attributes = Properties as attributes is commonly used WM Indonesia as the word for properties

Try to limit the number of additional abstract Wikidata items:
create none for the group of traditions in a designation or share the designation data with the members of the group in addition to the abstract item
create none for the designation ie connect the heritage item directly with the repository with the designation property
Challenging properties: country (P17), country of origin (P495), indigenous to (P2341), culture (P2596)

❓ Questions and discussions
FD: @Rima: Wondering, if the Indonesian heritage data input to WD was done manually, automatically, or hybrid?
Mostly manually
Situations where there is living heritage that has multiple variations in how its celebrated within a country?
Opinion: UNESCO nomiates the entire group, so the label should be applied to group and not individual instances
