"I think many athletes can relate to this cause. A lot of us grew up with just one parent, and we know firsthand what our parent had to do to make ends meet and help us excel. I was raised by my mom. She's the reason I was able to excel in school, sports, graduate with a degree from The University of Miami, and go play in the NFL. I want to give other children and parents that same chance",said 2-Time Pro Bowler Brandon Meriweather who is organizing the golf event.
"What Brandon is doing is outstanding. Throughout the year he and his foundation stay active in Central Florida communities. Helping single parents is so worthy, we all need help sometimes.No one can do it alone." said WSA CEO Charlie Williams.
