Q:
Is their a kids menu?
A:
No, there is zero kids menu. My picky eaters love the beef skewers. I highly recommend those.
Claudia M.ÂQ:
What time do you start dinner menu? I'd like to make reservation at 4:30pm, but I also would like to do dinner menu at same time. Thank you
A:
They are open at 4pm during the weekdays and 11am during the weekend so you are good to go. Make that reservation!

Always a great meal with amazing service. One of my favorite restaurants in Chicago. Interior is well done and despite always being crowded the tables are well spaced.

Wow what a find!
We came for my brother-in-law's graduation weekend.
Amazing atmosphere - we sat under the sunroof - really felt like we were in a nice patio in Spain! Service was friendly.
We had the iberico ribs (star of the show), shishito, bacon wrapped dates, iberico presa, seafood paella, octopus (you gotta try the ammmmazing sauce w it), and a crudo.
Paella overall was ok (sorry have had better in Spain and Orlando...), otherwise others were stellar - would highly recommend!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jul 15, 20241 check-in
Bite-sized delights Was in Lincoln park this weekend and finally got to try @cafebabareeba :) the menu itself is very straight forward and online they even show you the photos of each of the tapas which was a lifesaver when choosing! The ambiance was very pretty but dark which fit the theme of the restaurant! The tapas that were ordered are, beef empanada it was 10/10, patatas bravas it was 10/10, waffle-battered chicken sticks it was 5/10, goat cheese baked in tomato sauce it was 10/10 , and the best part which was dessert and it was the torrijas with blueberry lemon compote which was an 11/10! The service was quick and the dishes all came out hot and ready which was great, menu is very limited if you do not eat pork! Overall, it was a good try definitely need to go back and order the seafood for dinner:)

We absolutely loved Cafe Ba-Ba-Reeba! We started with the sangria flight, which was a little sweet for our taste but fun to try. We also tried the Goat Cheese in Tomato Sauce and Pressed Bikini Sandwiches, both of which we loved! Then we got the Paella Mixta, and it was delicious! We loved that the waiters come to your table with the dish and serve it up for you there. The atmosphere was fun and lively. The restaurant was packed, but we were able to get a seat immediately in the bar area. Highly recommend!

Happy Hour on a Saturday check!!! They have happy hour on Saturday from 4pm to 6pm. Husband and I came to have a few drinks. We decided on the Red Sangria. It was tasty but definitely needed a stir. All the yummy red wine was at the bottom. The pitcher was $22 on Happy Hour or $5 a glasss. I would say try it before committing to the glass. It got better towards the end.
For appetizers we got Calamari, Eggs, Potatoes and Date wrapped Bacon. All were good. My husband loved the Calamari, which I just don't eat but I had a few bites and good. The deviled eggs were my favorite.
The vibe here was good. Happy Hour in bar area only but bar is very big and wraps around establishment. Tapas were a success.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Jun 17, 2024
Did you know Cafe Ba-Ba-Reeba partners with the Chicago architectural tour boats to host private events? We hosted our wedding welcome dinner with Chicago's Fair Lady cruise line, and we enjoyed a two hour river and lake cruise catered by Cafe Ba-Ba-Reeba. Gracie from Cafe Ba-Ba-Reeba helped us at every turn. She was incredibly responsive and it was a pleasure to work with her. This is such a great way to see Chicago and have great food for a private party. Highly recommend!

The food was good, the service was great and the ambiance was nice. Good first experience. The octopus portion was on the small side and mostly potatoes. Everything else was tasty.

We had been here years ago for a wedding rehearsal dinner. I decided to take my husband back and it did not disappoint. We went for happy hour and were lucky enough to get a table at 5pm.
We had a reservation and the hostess let us know if we found a spot and were happy with having dinner there that was fine and would change our reservation. We forgot to tell her and she found us and asked if we were all good before changing the reservation which was great. The servers were all kind in serving us and trying to find us a spot to sit.
The food was so good! We did the happy hour tapas and ordered 2 of most everything on the menu. Our favorites were the roasted peppers and the Crystal bread.
It was decorated perfectly inside. With murals on the walls and intimate lighting.
Would recommend.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Mar 26, 2024Updated review
Our family came her to celebrate my birthday, only 2 of the 5 of us, had been here before. We had a reservation for 9 pm, got there early, and found seats at the bar. The bartender was very kind and gave us each a taste of the sangria special flavor, which was pineapple. 2 of us ordered the sangria flight, which included 4 types of sangria. 2 of us ordered a Spanish wine flight, 3 glasses of red wine (or white). There was also an old fashioned, which was strong and very good.
We were sat at a large table. It was my first time trying tapas, which are small plates of various foods. We tried a bunch of items, including
-Chorizo wrapped dates
-Baked goat cheese in tomato sauce, plus extra garlic bread
-Bikini sandwiches
-Chicken empanadas
-Beef empanadas
-Hanger steak
-Scallop special
-Iberica Presa special
-Large mixture paella (5 large portions)
-Chocolate truffle dessert
All of the items we tried were delicious, I can't decide which was my favorite, but many thought the date wrapped in Chorizo( you can eat just 1 and be satisfied) was their favorite, another favorite was the Scallop special and the bikini sandwich. The Hanger steak and Iberico pork were cooked perfectly. The empanadas were delicious and fresh. The goat cheese in tomato sauce w/ garlic bread was delicious.
We also ordered the large mixed paella, with Chorizo and chicken. It was delicious and plentiful, it was served from the pan tableside.
For dessert, we had 2 chocolate truffle "cakes" and our server, Vincente, brought a flan for my birthday. Vincente was very nice and attentive.
I would definitely come back again when I'm in town!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Mar 23, 2024Previous reviewOur family came her to celebrate my birthday, only 2 of the 5 of us, had been here before. We booked them to cater an event on the Chicago's First Lady boat cruise. Cafe Ba-Ba-Reeba was super friendly, accommodating, great prices and the food was amazing. The chef and hosts they sent out had it all covered. Food stayed warm, fresh and delicious. Highly recommend.
