Came here for a late dinner after a concert. Prices are great for SF (like $10 for a super burrito) and the never-ending amount of people joining the line indicates this is a well-loved spot.

You order at the cashier and pick a table. There was an equal amount of people dining in and taking out. The tables weren't cleaned in between people coming and going.

The bathroom was quirky and not the cleanest but I wasn't expecting that anyway.

The carne asada super burrito was good enough for two meals for me. My friend finished his, but he had to push himself. There's a good balance of meat, rice, and other toppings. You gotta ask for salsas to go with it.

Overall, El Farolito hit the spot for our late night needs. Not only is it tasty, but it has great value too.

We were really excited about this place after listening to the raving reviews especially about the mission style burrito. But it didn't live up to the hype. We got the el pastor and carne asada tacos which were mediocre and the super burrito with chorizo. The burrito itself was good but we have had better chorizo. The service was pretty quick, the ambience is what you would expect from a hole in the wall restaurant. Not the best area of course. They do have security inside so that was slightly reassuring. This place is good if you are looking for cheap, late night eats.

La taqueria used to be my fav place in the city, but after trying the burrito here, I've changed my mind. I had the carne assada super burrito w/ spinach tortilla and it was delicious! I usually don't like burrito with rice because most of the places tend to put too much rice and little meat. That's not the case here. The ratio of all ingredients were great! The burrito was big so I was able to eat only half of it. I saved the other half to eat later, and it was super yummy even being cold.

24th and mission, home of the BEST El Farolito as well as arguably the best Mexican Food in SF. Haven't reviewed this place after years of visiting it although came in again because another restaurant down the street turned into a tourist trap.

      Did not regret coming here

Super shrimp / chicken burrito = 10/10, delicious meat, delicious rice and beans, literally cooked to perfection.

Service = 10/10, long line? The server usually comes and walks down the line taking orders to speed up the process which is amazing, not many places are willing to do this due to laziness. Also can see your food being cooked right in front of you.

Seating = 2/10, let's be real, it's sf and the mission, place is packed so there's really nowhere to sit unless someone leaves their table as there's not many. I'd prefer to eat at the park anyways so this isn't really a flaw unless you're interested in eating in.

Overall the best spot for burritos in SF in my honest opinion as a lifetime Bay Area resident.

If you're looking for a packed burrito, this is the place to go!

I was actually planning on going to La Taqueria however they were surprisingly closed on a 3PM on Saturday even though their hours on Yelp said they were open. Little did I know, this was a blessing in disguise since I just decided on going to El Farolito on a whim.

This place is cash only so please come prepared! There was an ATM inside however it said it was out of service so definitely come prepared.

I decided to order an al pastor super burrito with no rice and to my surprise, it was still SO packed. It had an amazing balance of meat, veggies, beans, etc and I had a perfect bite every time. The al pastor was super flavorful and super smokey.

One thing is that their menu prices aren't updated. The menu in their restaurant says a super burrito is ~$9 but it turned out to be ~$13.

Being one of the OG places here in the city and in the Mission, El Farolito is one of the classics here. Really fast service, and the food is just as good as well.

I've only ever ordered their burritos, but it's a treat considering how hefty the whole burrito is. It's very filling and it hits the spot. I always get the surpreme burrito when I'm here and I always gotta do half and half. I love El Pastor and Lengua, so why not just order half of them both in the burrito? I usually like my lengua a little bit crispier but theirs is softer, but nonetheless it's still really good.

They have many other items listed on their menu like plates, tortas, quesadillas, tacos, etc... and in conjunction a variety of meats too. One of my favorite Mexican joints in the city and it still stands strong today.

Will definitely come back if I'm ever in the Mission as always!

The line was very long, so I figured it's a great place. The place was semi organized. There are a few table in the front where you order and a few in the back but it's freezing there. Wish they had heating posts for people who eat back there.
We had a big party and we all ordered. Waited for the food which took around10 minutes but they didn't have my order so I was over it. Everyone else got their food but when I tasted it it tasted like they barely put any flavoring in their foods. The amount of food is normal but there is no flavor to it, so this is the low star. Also the lack of care that my order wasn't made at all gives them minus one star. However I know and am sure that because they are so busy it doesn't make a difference.

What more can I say that hasn't already been said - this is a great SF classic spot for Mission burritos and cheap late night eats. It might not be the best you have ever had, but it is filling and tastes fresh. Inside is no nonsense, enough seating for small groups. I recommend the al pastor as the most flavorful. The salsas are pretty good as well.

Thank you El Farolito for being open past 10pm in this sleepy city!
