Brunches like this! Why not have a cute bear in your HK milk tea, or have the option for Chinese/ American style comfort dishes? If you go during certain hours, they also have combo meals which are a great deal. If you're not used to it, just be aware they can be a bit chaotic during busy times (eg weekend mornings) so you'll have to be a bit assertive in getting their attention for service, but they are generally nice for the most part.

      Order :
*Iced HK Milk Tea (you might have to show them a picture to get the bear, otherwise I didn't see it specifically on the menu)
*Combo D French Toast (combo menu available 8am-11am)
*Steamed Rice Noodle w/ Beef & Steamed Black Rice Noodle w/ Shrimp (I didn't taste much difference between the different rice noodles but both were good and fresh; only available 8am-5pm)
      *Roasted Duck Noodle Soup
      *Salt and Pepper Pork Spareribs

Easiest five star I've given to a restaurant.

I see all the SF Asian locals come here. That's always a good sign

I ordered the wonton noodle soup with roast duck. It was perfect. Chewy noodles, freshly wrapped wontons, and tender roast duck pieces that soaks its flavors into the broth.

After eating those things, I had a delicious broth to drink. A great way to top off a filling meal.

It's the perfect bowl of noodle soup. I'd go to this place for breakfast every day if I could.

Very clean interior and quick customer service.

Fung Wong is a relatively newer Chinese restaurant in the Sunset district. We recently went for dinner and ordered the following for 5 people:

      * Beef chow fun - nicely done, not too oily, modest amount of beef
      * Dai ban leurng sik - one fresh fish prepared into 2 dishes, a filet stir fry with veggies (yum), and a clay pot (good, but lots of bones)
      * XO rice noodles - we ordered a small appetizer size which was a good idea, it was spicy but tasty.
      * Green beans - nicely prepared, crispy tender, with other veggies too
      * roasted squab - the person who likes this dish did not approve
      * soy sauce chicken (half) - well prepared, each piece was delicious
      * seafood tofu clay pot - very good

Nut allergy - some menu items have nuts (xo string beans!) and we avoided those and let the server know to check that none of our dishes include nuts in the recipes.

We also asked for less oil, less salt and that was satisfactory.

We have eaten there for lunch which is great for their breakfast/lunch sets, fresh rice noodles, and milk tea. They have a Hong Kong cafe menu items as well. Overall, a very satisfying place to eat.

The restrooms are clean(ish) but I always feel like the floor is slippery.

      *Lobster Yee Mein

My parents were coming over and brought food from Fung Wong for lunch. I adore all the dishes above, so would never say no to takeaway. Especially the poached chicken / gwai fei gai. When it's done right, so silky and delicious. The lobster on the noodles wasn't that big, but I don't think my parents spent much on that dish, so it was probably comparable for the price. I can't recall anything about the roast duck, so guessing it was fine.

Not a bad place to grab Chinese food to go.

      This place was good!
Service was fast and everyone kept checking on us. We came here for lunch time and they offer you a free drink if you come here!

All the food was tasty! We really liked that everything was affordable and also tasted really good! We couldn't finish the meal because it was super filling!
Except the roasted crispy pork was very cold when it came out and it was not crispy, unfortunately.

Lastly, the menu prices were different from what we were billed so we hope that they update the menu. It seems like it's was 14.95 on the regular updated to-go menu but on the old menu we received it was 13.95. Which we paid the extra $$ for another item as well!

Rice noodle, duck noodles, and crispy pork with rice.

Fung Wong is a newer entry into the little Chinese enclave on Noriega in the outer sunset. While their menu is mainly stir fried and family style items (dinner), the few HK Cafe and breakfast items are also delicious.

Having heard they're doing fresh steamed rice roll with fresh batter, my wife and I decided to give them a first try in the evening. We found out this is actually an item limited from breakfast to 5PM, so we opted for baked curry beef rice and lobster noodles. The lobster noodles seemed like a steal at $26, but we found what was roughly half of a small lobster in the dish. Even so, the flavors were well done and at that portion size, the price became fair. Curry beef brisket and tendons baked rice was the highlight of this meal. Curry flavor tasted like that of several blends between Chinese, Indian and southeast asian curries. The beef was very tender without being textureless and the rice underneath was fried perfectly to give extra wok hay to a dish normally without much.

Service here is quick and to the point, what you would expect for the type of establishment and price point.

Overall, Fung Wong does a great job providing a worthy replacement to the long established ABC restaurant which formerly occupied the space. Despite its relatively new status, it's quickly become a go-to for many locals alike as any visits on the weekend or evening during normal hours aren't without a line.

Came here for breakfast with my family. They have 4 different sets and we all chose something different. Even among the sets there are other dishes you can choose. The porridge with liver I got was such a big portion and can be shared between 2-3 people. It also came with noodles which is crazy. So much carb haha

There was a set that my mom chose which was French toast and a fried pork chop. Another set we got was what my cousin chose, it came with toast, fries, sausage and eggs.

All is under $14!! Highly recommend!

Very traditional Chinese food that has meat hanging out front that you can check out. We got half a duck and it was really good! Overall the food here is good, but some dishes can be a little heavy on the oil. Come between 3 and 5 if you want a free milk tea (with condensed milk) for every $10 you spend!

Ordered the wonton noodle soup with duck and a Hong Kong milk tea. Both were good! The wontons and duck were flavorful and the milk tea had a strong tea taste (which I like). The bowl is deeper than it looks so it was a good amount of food for the price.
Came in the afternoon and there were still people at the restaurant. We didn't have to wait to get seated and it wasn't too crowded, but you'll have to flag down a server if you need something.
