The Valencia Room

I originally wanted to check out this bar/club during their KPOP night but didn't get to it. I finally came around a couple weeks ago not really knowing much about the bar, however, I was just down to hangout with friends I haven't seen in awhile. We had such a blast here, we did not realize that we stayed until literally closing. The crowd was diverse, music was upbeat and ranged from edm, hip hop, and even Spanish music. There's another bar/dance floor upstairs and the restroom is upstairs as well with some really cool wall art. Check out Valencia Room if you haven't yet! Seriously did not disappoint and down to come here again!

I remember Elbo Room so fondly. I remember my best friend Hector avoiding the cover and sneaking all his friends upstairs for Reggae Night back in 2001. I remember coming here with Yelp Elite Mark A. who recently passed away which truly hurt my heart being back in the new Valencia Room.

I was skeptical of Valencia room and I rarely give five stars but it truly deserves it.

1. It was KPOP night and I hate KPOP. I only came for my best friend. The super nice coat check girl told me the cover was $15 but there were free shots upstairs.
2. We tried to get free shots but you have to check in online and there was zero signal on either of our phones but the girl working the table still let us have the shots.
3. We ordered a Hibiki for our friend and he immediately spilled it. I told the bartender and he gave our friend a new one!!!!
4. When I was standing at the bar some random guy pushed me. I asked the bartender James what happened because I thought maybe I was encroaching on this guys space. The bartender asked if I knew him and I said no and he legit went around the bar all the way deep into the crowd to find this guy and tell him if he bothers me again that he would be kicked out and cut him off. I've been harassed so many times and always hear about how you should always reach out to the bartender if there's an issue and this is truly the first time in the past decade Ive actually seen this happen and he made immediate action!! I literally could not believe how fast this man moved around the bar and into the dance floor and could actually find the guy that pushed me!!!!
5. Final cherry on my shitshow ice cream when the bathroom door refused to shut. Everyone was getting walked in on and of course when I went to pee and my friends date opened the door on me mid pee. Fantastic. He just stood there in the doorway rambling about how we were blood brothers now as I yelled at him to get out. When I came out I saw another bartender in line who saw the whole thing and went out of his way to make sure I didnt die from embarrassment.
6. When I went to tip James I asked if they split tips and he said yes. I asked if I could just hand him some cash and he refused!! He said everyone worked hard and it wouldn't be fair and they deserve every dollar they all earn together. Could not even believe it. Could the staff here be more impressive?!!!

Thank you so much to the staff here for showing me and my friends a good time. Legit would not have survived my Saturday night without you.

I'd say I was first disappointed to see Elbo Room sign go to be replaced by an unfamiliar name, but from the get-go the experience there was an awesome one. Everyone who works there that I came across looked happy to be there (you'd be surprised how miserable some other places' employees really can be) and professional, made my night awesome and same was said by four of my friends who were also there. The particular night (Saturday night) was a KPOP night at the upstairs part of the place, and it was pretty amazing all round (I don't listen to KPOP myself but the DJ did well and vibe everywhere was pretty awesome). Would def come here again -- thanks VR crew!

Super chill dance spot for a Saturday night. Went when they were having the kpop night in the upstairs venue. The staff here are very friendly. The crowd of people is also a ton of fun, everyone here is here to dance and have fun. Great dance scene. The stage also seemed like it was open to the public for those brave enough to take the spotlight!
