Sibanye-Stillwater in partnership with the Department of Education has officially handed over the upgraded section to Loboneng Primary School in Masilonyana Local Municipality in the Free State. This programme aims to improve the quality of education facilities and the company invested R4 million in upgrades. Sibanye-Stillwater is committed to delivering superior shared value to all stakeholders.

Construction work of Sibanye-Stillwater's Keliber lithium project is progressing well. More than 700 professionals are working in the project in August 2024. Sibanye-Stillwater's Keliber lithium project has been granted a €500 million green financing facility, which completes the previous funding for the construction and development of the project.  It includes a €150 million tranche provided by the EIB that marks the first EIB financing support for mining critical raw materials in the EU and is an important step towards the EU’s strategic autonomy.
