LUCKNOW: State govt on Sunday launched an initiative to improve patient and caregiver experience in govt hospitals across UP.
Under the programme, master trainers are being groomed to train frontline staff at district hospitals and community health centres in courteous behaviour.
A senior official said, "Following CM Yogi Adityanath's directives, all frontline staff, including receptionists, ward assistants, security guards, staff nurses, pharmacists and lab technicians are receiving specialised training to enhance interaction with patients and their families.

The training aims to ensure patients experience respectful and efficient service during their hospital visits."
In Lucknow, key hospital personnel such as chief medical officers, staff nurse in-charges, hospital managers, and district quality consultants have been trained as master trainers. They will now train frontline staff in their respective districts, he added.
Principal secretary medical health and family welfare Parthasarathi Sen Sharma highlighted that respectful and quality healthcare was a critical part of public health services and emphasised that behaviour of frontline staff significantly influenced the hospital's image and patient experience.
Director of National Health Mission, Dr Pinky Jowal, said four master trainers had been selected from each district, and their training was completed in Aug.
These trainers will now impart their knowledge to frontline staff at district hospitals and community health centres.
General manager of training for the National Health Mission, Dr Archana Verma, said the training was already underway in several hospitals and would continue to be implemented across all healthcare facilities. "This initiative is expected to yield positive outcomes in the near future," she added.
