Visitor Information

Welcome to the FDA! The FDA headquarters is on the White Oak campus in Silver Spring, Maryland, in Montgomery County. The FDA has additional offices across the U.S.

Visitors to White Oak can use public transportation (Metro train and bus, commuter trains and buses) or taxi and ridesharing services. Limited visitor parking is available.

Please be advised that the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) is conducting baseline water tests at the FDA’s White Oak campus and other FDA locations. This is part of a nationwide GSA initiative assessing federal buildings for certain heavy metals and water-borne bacteria. You may see signage posted at designated water fixtures or areas. Please do not use these fixtures until signage is removed. Out of an abundance of caution, the FDA is recommending occupants refrain from consuming tap water at the White Oak campus. Where feasible, bottled water and/or water coolers are being made available for use.
