Water nationalisation | Lafarge/Syria

We should have made clear that an article headlined “Labour uses ‘sham’ £90bn figure to oppose water nationalisation” was referring to England only (30 September, p13).

An article (The cement giant that paid millions to IS, 17 September, Journal, p5) said that in January this year Turkey destroyed a former Lafarge cement factory in Syria as part of an air campaign against Kurdish forces. In fact, it was one of the factory’s accommodation blocks that was hit.
