    MEIL bags order worth $648 million for oil refinery in Mongolia

    Megha Engineering and Infrastructures Ltd (MEIL) has secured a $648 million work order in Mongolia from Mongol Refinery State Owned LLC. The agreement was signed between the two companies at Ulaanbaatar in Mongolia. As part of the contract, MEIL will build a diesel hydrotreater unit, hydrocracker unit, and various other units of Mongolia’s first oil refinery.

    Megha Engineering and Infrastructures Ltd (MEIL) has secured a $648 million work order from Mongol Refinery State Owned LLC, the Hyderabad-based company said in a statement.

    The agreement was signed between the two companies at Ulaanbaatar in Mongolia on Friday. As part of the contract, MEIL will build a diesel hydrotreater unit, hydrocracker unit, and various other units of Mongolia’s first oil refinery.

    MEIL Managing Director Mr. P.V. Krishna Reddy said this contract marks the company’s third project in the region. The Mongol refinery project is a government-to-government initiative between India and Mongolia. It will have a processing capacity of 1.5 million tonnes of crude oil per annum.
