    RCI affiliates with AAA Hotels & Resorts in Maldives to add 3 new properties

    RCI currently has 4,500 affiliated resorts in more than 100 countries with around 3.8 million members. It is a part of Wyndham Exchange & Rentals.

    MUMBAI: RCI, the vacation exchange network and a part of the Wyndham Worldwide group, has added three new hotels in Maldives to its exchange network through an affiliation with AAA Hotels and Resorts. The affiliation marks RCI's entry into the popular south Asian destination.

    “Maldives is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world, with its emerald green islands surrounded by miles of shimmering turquoise water, and members can now travel there through RCI," Pali Badwal, managing director, RCI said in a press statement.

    Through this affiliation, RCI has added a new destination to its exchange network. Medhufushi Island Resort, Filitheyo Island Resort and Bathala Island Resort -- owned by AAA Hotels & Resorts -- are now affiliated with RCI.

    “We believe that AAA Hotels & Resorts and RCI can together bring synergy that will enhance the services we offer our customer," Ahmed Hamza, deputy managing director of AAA Hotels & Resorts said in the statement. Formed in 1979, AAA Hotels & Resorts owns and operates four resorts ranging from luxury to four-star categories. The hotel group also has two projects under construction.
