    Brookfield Asset Management acquires RMZ Corp’s assets for over Rs 15,000 crore

    The company’s portfolio, developed and under development, has assets worth $8 billion under their ownership and management post this transaction.

    Synopsis

    India’s commercial real estate clocked 11 million sq. ft. of leasing deals in the past three months and negotiations for an additional 8 million sq. ft. are underway even during the ongoing Covid19 pandemic.

    Canadian alternate investment major Brookfield Asset Management has acquired realty developer RMZ Corp’s 12.5 million sq ft income-producing assets for over $2 billion or Rs 15,000 crore in the largest ever realty portfolio deal to be concluded in India. Brookfield Private Capital along with its affiliate companies has acquired realty projects housed under five special purpose vehicles including RMZ Ecoworld Infrastructure, RMZ Galleria (India)
