The high speed routes that will get faster Vande Bharat and Shatabdi Express trains are Mumbai-New Delhi and Mumbai-Ahmedabad. On the Mumbai New Delhi roite of 1,384 kilometres, 694 kilometres of work has been completed. Work on the Virar-Vadodara route is left, which may be completed by June 30. However, due to local train traffic and the Godhra-Ratlam Ghat segment, which has tight curves on steep grades, the speed limit for the Mumbai Suburban won't be increased.
