Cochin Shipyard launches fifteenth Fast Patrol Vessel

KOCHI: Cochin Shipyard today launched the 15th of the 20 Fast Patrol Vessels (BY 515) being built for Indian Coast Guard.

The vessel was named 'ICGS ARINJAY' and launched by Geeta Sundar, wife of Capt R S Sundar, Director Operations, CSL in a simple ceremony at Cochin Shipyard in the presence of top officials including CMD K Subramaniam.

In a release, the CSL said it has delivered 12 vessels in the 20 vessel series and the thirteenth vessel is getting ready for sea trials.

The twelfth vessel ICGS ANKIT was handed over to the Indian Coast Guard on April 7.
