Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor remembered her mother Sridevi on the late veteran star's 57th birth anniversary on Friday. The 'Dhadak' actress posted a note in the memory of her mother on Instagram, expressing that "everything" is for Sridevi, "every day".

The actress died in Dubai on February 24, 2018 while attending an event in an incident of accidental drowning.

Remembering her mother, Janhvi shared a throwback picture with her 12.3 million fans on Instagram. "Happy birthday Mumma. I miss you," she wrote. Sridevi died shortly before Janhvi’s debut in Bollywood.

Whereas the 'Chandani' star's younger daughter, Khushi Kapoor, took to her Instagram Story to share a snap of her parents, Boney and Sridevi, embracing each other in a hug. "Miss you everyday," she captioned the image.

Sridevi, who began her acting career as a child artist in Tamil films at a young age of four, was a dynamic star who often stole the limelight from her co-stars especially during the time when the film industry was dominated by male actors. Sridevi flawlessly fit into each character she played on-screen, be it drama or comedy. The 'Mr. India’ star's untimely demise left a void in the film industry.

On her birth anniversary, the actress was remembered by several production houses such as Red Chillies, Yash Raj Films, Balaji Motion Pictures and more.

"To the one whose beauty and talent shall always remain unmatched," wrote Red Chillies Entertainment alongside a picture of the actress.

Sony Music India shared a video synced to 'Ae Zindagi Gale Laga Le' song with snapshots of Sridevi. "Remembering the eternal beauty, Sridevi!," the production house wrote.

Yash Raj Films remembered the 'epitome of beauty and grace' and shared a picture on Twitter.

While Balaji Motion Pictures paid a tribute to the late actress by remembering each moment the star has contributed to the film fraternity. "On her birthday, we remember her.... magnificent roles with which she inspired and entertained us," they tweeted.

The actress tied the knot with film producer Boney Kapoor in 1996 and became a mother to two daughters, Jahnvi and Khushi. After her marriage, Sridevi was gone off screen for a while before her comeback to acting after 15 years with the film 'English Vinglish' in 2011. According to reports, it was her family and daughters who encouraged the actress to return to movies.
