    Jhanak Shukla, who played Preity Zinta's adopted sister in ‘Kal Ho Naa Ho’, announces engagement to fitness trainer

    Jhanak Shukla, who played the precocious robot girl in ‘Karishma Ka Karishma’ and Preity Zinta’s little sibling Jia in the 2003 blockbuster ‘Kal Ho Naa Ho’, is all set to tie the knot with her long-time beau, fitness trainer Swapnil Suryawanshi.
    Jhanak Shukla, who played the precocious robot girl in ‘Karishma Ka Karishma’ and Preity Zinta’s little sibling Jia in the 2003 blockbuster ‘Kal Ho Naa Ho’, is all set to tie the knot with her long-time beau, fitness trainer Swapnil Suryawanshi.

    The former child actress took to social media to share the good news and share pictures from her roka ceremony. Sharing the photos, the Shukla wrote, “Finally making it official! Roka ho Gaya.”
    In the picture, Shukla is seen sitting all cosied up with her fiancé, with their arms intertwined. She is seen looking demure in a hot-pink salwar suit with a yellow dupatta, while he is seen sporting a light purple kurta and white pants. Many of her mother popular TV actress Supriya Shukla’s co-stars like Kanwar Dhillon, Avika Gor, Sriti Jha, etc dropped in to congratulate and gush over the cute couple.

    Her mother also shared some pictures from the roka ceremony and wrote, “Mere ghar aayi ek nanhi pari... (My home is blessed with a little angel) Family becomes big by god's grace...(folded hands emoji) as Swapnil n his parents are family now... Roka ceremony at home... With love n blessings. Thank you, God ’’ ….
    A popular face both on the small as well as the big screen as a child, Shukla has been part of hit serials such as ‘Karishma Ka Karishma’, ‘Son Pari’, ‘Hatim’ etc. Apart from ‘Kal Ho Naa Ho’ she has also appeared in films like ‘Deadline: Sirf 24 Ghante’, ‘One Night With The King’, etc.

    However, she left the world of showbiz at the age of 15, to pursue her studies. She holds an MA in Ancient Indian History and Archaeology from the Deccan College Postgraduate and Research Institute as well as an MBA from the Narsee Monjee Institute Of Management Studies Global. She currently works as a gallery manager.

    In an previous interview, the child star had said, that although she liked acting, education was always her first priority, and she planned to take a break from acting to focus on her studies.
