With just 3 days to go for the Assembly polls in Maharashtra, Bollywood actor Salman Khan's long-time aide Gurmeet Singh alias Shera, on Friday, joined the Shiv Sena.

Shiv Sena took to its official Twitter handle to make the formal announcement.

Maharashtra will go to polls on Monday, and the counting of votes will take place on October 24.

Shera has been by Khan's side for over two decades, and the actor also dedicated his 2011 film 'Bodyguard' to him. In addition to being the 'Dabangg' star's aide, he also owns and runs Tiger Security Services, an agency that provides security to several high-profile clients.
