In what seems to be a recurring trend, Google has once again somehow leaked its upcoming flagship smartphone, the Pixel 8 Pro, and that too on its own website.

The leak occurred on the Google Store website and on the same day that Apple announced its September launch event. The image showed a person using a porcelain colour variant of the Pixel 8 Pro, confirming previous leaks and renderimages.

This image was initially spotted by @Android_Setting on X (Twitter), shedding light on the eagerly awaited device.

The leaked image not only gave a clear view of the Pixel 8 Pro but also subtly hinted at another potential surprise - the Pixel Watch 2.

Although Google promptly removed the image, by then people had already captured the evidence. The image displayed a person answering a call on what was presumably the Pixel 8 Pro.

While this leak confirmed the design that had been circulating, the image provided little new information about the device's specifications. However, when it comes to leaks, every confirmation matters.

The Pixel 8 Pro is anticipated to sport an impressive camera setup, housing a 50MP main camera, a 64MP ultrawide, and a 48MP telephoto lens. Reports also suggest that the device will feature an infrared temperature sensor for quick body temperature measurements.

Further, the Pixel 8 Pro is expected to boast a 6.7-inch LTPO OLED display with QHD+ resolution and an impressive 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring smooth and vibrant visuals.

Under the hood, the upcoming Tensor G3 chipset, coupled with 12GB RAM and storage options of 128GB or 256GB, is expected to power the device. Additionally, the flagship is rumored to pack a robust 4,950mAh battery, capable of 27W fast charging, and it will come preloaded with Android 14.

Meanwhile, Google’s Pixel devices are known for being some of the most-leaked hardware ever. The list includes Pixel 4, Nexus 4, Pixel 4A, Pixel 5, Pixel 6A, Nexus 5 and Pixel 6 Pro.
