Cartelisation probe: SC notice to top 3 telcos on CCI's challenge

The Supreme Court on Monday issued notices to incumbents Bharti Airtel, Idea Cellular and Vodafone on a plea filed by Competition Commission of India (CCI) challenging Bombay High Court's order which quashed its probe into the alleged cartelisation of the telecom market. Mukesh Ambani-owned Reliance Jio had notably filed the said complaint with competition watchdog in November last year. The apex court will reportedly hear the matter on February 19.
