Ravneet Singh Bittu: BJP leader who lost from Ludhiana gets a place in PM Modi's Cabinet
Ravneet Singh Bittu, the BJP MP and Beant Singh’s grandson, took oath on Sunday as part of Modi government 3.0. Even though Bittu lost Ludhiana's recently concluded Lok Sabha election, he found a place in PM Modi's council of ministers as a Minister of State (MoS). Earlier in the day, he said PM Modi picked him to induct him into his council of ministers despite his defeat from Ludhiana in the Lok Sabha polls, as Punjab's progress is the "priority" of the BJP-led NDA government.
