    Mukesh Ambani visits Sonia Gandhi's residence to hand over Anant's wedding card

    Reliance chairman Mukesh Ambani on Thursday met former Congress president Sonia Gandhi at her residence, 10 Janpath.

    The Reliance chairman presented Gandhi with an invitation card to wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant which is set to take place on July 12, news agency ANI reported.


    The grand wedding festivities are meticulously planned, adhering to traditional Hindu Vedic customs. The main ceremonies will commence on Friday, July 12, with the auspicious Shubh Vivah, or wedding function and according to sources, guests are encouraged to embrace the spirit of the occasion by dressing in traditional Indian attire.

    The celebrations will continue on Saturday, July 13, with Shubh Aashirwad. The final event, Mangal Utsav or the wedding reception, is scheduled for Sunday, July 14.

    For this grand occasion, guests have been asked to dress in 'Indian chic.' Radhika Merchant, daughter of Encore Healthcare CEO Viren Merchant and entrepreneur Shaila Merchant, is set to join the Ambani family, marking a union of two prominent industrialist families.

    Earlier, the Ambani family, in a display of philanthropy and community spirit, commenced the wedding celebrations of their son Anant Ambani with Radhika Merchant by organising a 'Samuh Vivah' (mass wedding) for over 50 underprivileged couples from the Palghar area.

    The ceremony took place at the prestigious Reliance Corporate Park and saw the presence of nearly 800 attendees, including family members of the couples, local social workers, and community representatives.

    The Ambani family began the event with traditional fervour and a profound message of service to humanity.

    Founder and Chairperson of Reliance Foundation, Nita Ambani, said, "I feel extremely happy seeing the newlywed couples here... I give my blessing to all these couples. The 'Shubh-lagna' ceremonies of Anant and Radhika begin today with today's mass wedding event."
