Democratic donors including Disney heiress try to checkmate Joe Biden; call for his replacement

President Joe Biden is under fire from his donors. Among the many donors, Abigail Disney who is an heiress to the Disney family fortunes has said that she intends to stop her funding to the Democratic party, if Biden does not step down. She is among the many affluent donors who have called for Biden’s replacement after his dismal performance in the first presidential debate last week. Amidst this opposition, Biden has refused to step down and told a group of Democrat Governors that he is confident of winning the presidential election in November. The Democrats are in a state of panic as many donors have expressed their intentions to stop their funding activities.

Abigail Disney:

She has been a long-time supporter of the Democrats and in April had donated $50,000 to the Jane Fonda climate political action committee. It is also believed that the company has donated $35,000 to Democrats contesting various congressional elections.

During this election period, Disney has donated $400,000 to support the Democrats and this included a donation totaling $26,000 to support Biden’s campaign.

Other donors:

Another key donor Gideon Stein who is the president of the Moriah Fund has said that he intends to stop with his donations. He has already donated $3.5 million. Other key donors have also given Biden a time period of two-weeks to improve his performance.

Karla Jurvetson is another key donor who has donated more than $5 million to the Democrats. It has been reported that she has already donated $200,000 in this electoral cycle. She has hinted at stopping the funds to the Democrats.

Both Disney and Stein said that Biden has served the country well. They added that it was his dismal performance during the first debate and other concerns that are preventing them from donating any further amounts. They said that Trump’s victory can be disastrous for the US.

Abigail Disney has supported Vice-President Kamala Harris and said that Biden should be replaced by Harris.
