'Everything Everywhere All at Once' had a big night, winning 7 Oscars of the 11 categories it was nominated for. The movie also won the Best Picture award.
"Everything Everywhere All at Once," a massive hit at the box office, won the award for Best Feature Film at the 95th Academy Awards on Sunday. The film had several wins throughout the night, and it was already a favorite prior to the event.

The Best Picture category was highly competitive, and the unusual science fiction movie, Everything Everywhere All at Once triumphed over the biographical film "Elvis," the psychological drama "Tar," the action sequel "Top Gun: Maverick," and Germany's "All Quiet on the Western Front," which still received four awards earlier in the evening. Michelle Yeoh, the lead actress, and star of the winning movie, expressed her gratitude to the Academy and acknowledged that it was a historic moment.
When producer Jonathan Wang went on stage, he expressed his gratitude to A24, acknowledging their support for their unconventional movie for an entire year in theatres. Wang also took the time to thank his father, who passed away at a young age like many immigrant parents. Wang stated that his father was proud of him, not just because of the award, but because the movie was made based on his teachings. He recalled that he was taught that no individual is more valuable than profits and that everyone is equally important.

Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, the writers and directors of "Everything Everywhere All at Once," are now multi-Oscar winners. The movie had the most nominations with 11, competing against other films like "All Quiet on the Western Front," "Avatar: The Way of Water," "The Banshees of Inisherin," "Elvis," "The Fabelmans," "Tár," "Top Gun: Maverick," "Triangle of Sadness," and "Women Talking."
Upon winning the Best Picture award, Kwan went on stage and celebrated the movie's message of community. He stated that one of the best things we can do for each other is to shield one another from the chaos of the world. He also expressed his strong faith in the power of storytelling.
Michelle Yeoh, a star in the critically acclaimed movie "Everything Everywhere All at Once," won the award for Best Actress in a Lead Role at the Oscars. She made history as the first Asian woman to receive this award. During her acceptance speech, Yeoh became emotional and addressed the little boys and girls who look like her and are watching the event, stating that this achievement is a beacon of hope and possibility. She expressed that this is evidence that dreams can indeed come true.

During the four-hour Oscars event, Everything Everywhere All at Once’s Ke Huy Quan won the first award for Supporting Actor, while Jonathan Wang won the last award of the night for Best Picture. Throughout the event, we also saw Jamie Lee Curtis receiving an award for Supporting Actress, both Daniels winning twice for Screenplay and Directing, and Michelle Yeoh receiving an award for Actress.
