It depicts similar comic moments in the new series as the movie. The 1997 film showed a group of unemployed men who begin a strip club.

The Full Monty again stars Robert Carlyle as Gaz and Mark Addy as Dave, with many other new supporting characters. ''Gaz might be older but he’s no wiser, and best mate Dave refuses to get sucked into any more of his antics,” reveals the movie’s official synopsis. However, when tragedy strikes, the Monty gang comes together “to honor an old friend'’, it added.

''The Full Monty gang is back after 25 years, swapping their stage costumes for dognapping, racing pigeons and one very unconventional hostage situation,” the synopsis further reads.

The Full Monty series also stars Tom Wilkinson as Gerald and Paul Barber as Horse, among others. The series is helmed by Andrew Chaplin and Catherine Morshead.
