To unlock original characters, Overwatch 2 players need to play 100 matches

    Synopsis

As per the new rules by video game company Blizzard Entertainment (also called Blizz), every player must complete 100 matches of Overwatch 2 to unlock all the 32 original characters from its prequel. Many gamers are in support of this move, while some are just mocking it. But the company said its motto is to make the game easy for newbies.

To unlock original characters, Overwatch 2 players need to play 100 matchesAgencies
Overwatch characters won't be available to new Overwatch 2 gamers immediately. The latest posts on the Overwatch website revealed that after completing 100 matches, the entire list of Overwatch 1's original 32 heroes will unlock. That is a new hero per three matches.

The purpose behind this move is to avoid subjecting new players to an excessive amount of learning. This move is undoubtedly a rational and organised approach to begin the game, given that each hero has a distinct set of skills and counters. However, a Reddit user commented on this, saying it was an excellent strategy to keep gamers in the game.

However, video game company Blizzard Entertainment or Blizz, who is the creator of the game, announced that the restriction wouldn't be there if a new gamer is playing in a group as this access will only unlock after completing a specific challenge in the game.

Despite several controversial posts, a few gamers appreciated this move by Blizz as it may prevent the chances of getting roasted by better players and reduce the hackers and smurfs in the game.
