    Shah Rukh Khan's sensational 'Jawan' breaks Pathaan's record

    Shah Rukh Khan's latest movie, "Jawan," has set a new record in the Hindi film industry by crossing the Rs 300 crore mark in the fastest time. The film surpassed the previous record held by "Pathaan." Directed by Atlee, "Jawan" is an action thriller that addresses social and political issues. It features Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, and Deepika Padukone in special appearances. The movie has earned a total of Rs 574.89 crore worldwide in just five days.

    Shah Rukh Khan's 'Jawan' has created a new benchmark for hindi movies, becoming the fastest to cross the Rs 300 crore figures. The latest SRK movie in the process broke the record of the movie 'Pathaan', another blockbuster of King Khan.

    "Jawan is all set to post a SENSATIONAL TOTAL in its *extended* Week 1… It’s a NEW BENCHMARK for Hindi films… UNPRECEDENTED - UNIMAGINABLE… Thu 65.50 cr, Fri 46.23 cr, Sat 68.72 cr, Sun 71.63 cr, Mon 30.50 cr, Tue 24 cr. Total: Rs 306.58 cr," movie business analyst Taran Adarsh said in a post on social networking site X, formerly Twitter.

    "Jawan [Tamil + Telugu] Thu 9.50 cr, Fri 7 cr, Sat 9.11 cr, Sun 8.47 cr, Mon 2.42 cr, Tue 2.52 cr. Total: Rs 39.02 cr," he added.

    Worldwide, the action thriller has earned Rs 520.79 crore gross in its first weekend. At the worldwide box office, the high-octane action thriller collected Rs 129.6 crore on day one, making it the biggest opening day in the history of Hindi cinema globally, according to the makers. The film raised Rs 110.87 crore on day two, Rs 144.22 crore on day three and made Rs 136.1 crore on the fourth day.

    Directed by Tamil filmmaker Atlee, "Jawan" released worldwide on September 7 in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.

    The high-octane action thriller also features Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi as well as Deepika Padukone in a special appearance.

    "Jawan", a father-son story at its core, highlights various social and political issues through its hero, essayed by Shah Rukh.

    The film also stars Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Girija Oak, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Lehar Khan, Aaliyah Qureshi, Ridhi Dogra, Sunil Grover and Mukesh Chhabra as well as Sanjay Dutt in a cameo appearance.

    A Red Chillies Entertainment presentation, "Jawan" is produced by Gauri Khan and co-produced by Gaurav Verma. The film has raised Rs 574.89 crore gross in five days at the worldwide box office.
