NEW DELHI: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's famous blue Wagon R has been reported stolen since Thursday afternoon. According to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA and party spokesperson Saurabh Bhardwaj, the car was parked outside the Delhi Secretariat and was found missing since afternoon.

The Wagon R, gifted by an AAP supporter living abroad, was dubbed the ‘AAP Mobile’. It was used by Kejriwal to camp and sleep in during a controversial protest against the Delhi Police in 2014. It was also the vehicle of his choice, when he was first elected chief minister in 2013.

It was currently being used by an AAP functionary. The car had hit the headlines in 2015 when donor of the car, Kundan Sharma, a software engineer, had demanded that Kejriwal return the car, in protest of the ouster of party leaders Prashant Bhushan and Yogendra Yadav. While the Delhi police falls under the jurisdiction of the Centre, Kejriwal criticised the Delhi police by asking on Twitter where its "dhyan" or attention is focused.

Bhardwaj also trained his guns at Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal. "The LG seems to be more focussed on disrupting the AAP's government's work by withholding files. He should focus on the Delhi police instead and fix the law and order situation in the city." The police has said FIR has been lodged and investigations are underway.
