NEW DELHI: Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) member Nandini Sardesai has written to the Information and Broadcasting Ministry, expressing "dissatisfaction" with the functioning of the board.

Claiming that Board members are being "marginalised", Sardesai alleged that in the constitution of Revising Committee for a movie recently, some members from the Examining Committee were again chosen in violation of norms.

The charges were, however, refuted by CBFC chairperson Pahlaj Nihalani who said that "whatever has been done has been as per norms". He said some wrong reports had appeared in the media and added that a press release will be issued with facts tomorrow.

A senior official also said the reports in the media that the members who were present for Examining Committee were also present for Revising Committee is not borne out from record and therefore is not a factually tenable statement.
