    Tarun Gogoi took on Presedential post aspirant, P.A Sangma and said that there is no chance of repetition of 1969 presidential poll results.

    GUWAHATI: Assam chief minister, Tarun Gogoi on Monday took on Presedential post aspirant, P.A Sangma and said that there is no chance of repetition of 1969 presidential poll results.

    That year congress backed candidate Nilam Sanjeeva Reddy was defeated by V.V. Giri. Gogoi said, "UPA's candidate Pranab Mukerjee will win presidential polls by huge margin. Around 111 legislators out of 126 member state assembly will cast vote in favour of Mukerjee.

    Sangma has appealed for conscience vote. Gogoi said, "Voting will be on party lines and there is no question of repetition of 1969 polls. That election circumstances were different. Sangma will roughly get votes from 15 MLAs in Assam."
