CHENNAI: Tamil actor Rajinikanth on Thursday admitted that he has been discussing his political entry with politicians and well-wishers. However, the superstar maintained suspense over when he is likely to take the plunge into politics.

Asked by reporters when he would announce his entry into politics, the actor replied, “If it so happens, I will answer your questions then.”

Rajinikanth was talking to reporters at the Chennai airport on his way to Mumbai to shoot for his upcoming film ‘Kaala,’ directed by Pa Ranjith.

Asked why he had denied discussing politics with party leaders, Rajinikanth said, “I never denied it. I never said that I am not discussing politics.” The actor has had a steady stream of visitors, including leaders of political parties, at his Poes Garden residence in the past few weeks.

On his meeting with politicians, Rajinikanth said, “I am holding discussions over entering politics. I have not taken a decision yet. When I decide, I will tell you.”

The actor, who met his fans during a five-day interaction in the Chennai in May, said he would meet the next set of fans in September or October.
