Synopsis

Renewable energy accounted for 47.3% of China’s total installed generation capacity by 2022-end. China’s economic growth was largely fuelled by coal-powered energy, but with the inglorious title as the world’s largest polluter, the government has committed to generating one-third of its electricity from renewables by 2025 and reach peak carbon emissions by 2030.
