Synopsis

JSW is getting ready for a long EV drive. An integrated EV plant and a 50 GWh battery manufacturing project in Cuttack and Paradip, and a JV deal with MG Motor mirror its intent. But why did it choose Odisha over other states that have experience in auto manufacturing? What does the JV mean for MG?

Sajjan Jindal wants to create his own “Maruti moment” in electric vehicles (EVs). "Like 40 years ago, in 1984, when Maruti came into India, it changed the auto industry.
