MUMBAI: Persistent Systems said its unit Accelerite had signed a deal to buy the Citrix CloudPlatform, and CloudPortal Business Manage product lines from US-listed technology firm Citrix Systems in an asset purchase transaction.
The Pune-headquartered IT firm did not disclose the size of the deal but said it would close in the fourth-quarter of its financial year.
Persistent has been buying products from larger IT firms to boost its own portfolio of product and intellectual-property based offerings.
Over the last year, The company’s venture fund has invested in Jocata Corp, a big data firm that provides solutions around Know Your Customer andAnti-Money Laundering. It also announced an investment in OpsDataStore Inc, which helps organization manage all their IT operations data in one store.

The company also announced acquisitions of RGen, Aepona Holdings, an Intel company, and Convirture.

"Cloud infrastructure software is one of the three pillars of Accelerite. Today, our cloud software portfolio includes disaster recovery and enterprise self-service solutions. The addition of CloudPlatform and CloudPortal Business Manager product lines will help round out our portfolio and enables us to offer complete end-to-end life cycle management for public and private clouds,” Nara Rajagopalan, CEO of the Accelerite unit, said in a statement.
