    Synopsis

    Age gating refers to age verification system to restrict access to digital content to children. The Digital Personal Data Protection Law, passed by Indian parliament earlier this year, defines any user below the age of 18 as children and requires all companies dealing in the data of this demographic to obtain explicit parental consent before processing any data belonging to this age group.
