    Passion Connect acquires workplace skilling platform CoEmerge

    Bengaluru: Bengaluru: Blume Ventures-incubated human resource advisory platform Passion Connect has acquired workplace skilling platform CoEmerge for an undisclosed deal amount.

    With this acquisition, Passion Connect plans to build its learning and development vertical, focusing on founder growth, softskills, emotional quotient development, and leadership training.

    Post the acquisition, CoEmerge’s cofounder Sunanda Banerjee will be the heading learning and development vertical at Passion Connect.

    Founded in 2016 by Sanam Rawal, Vaibhav Parchure, Yashna Ray and Kanchan Panjwani, Passion Connect has worked with over 80 startups in Blume’s portfolio. It aims to solve personnel problems including talent branding services and sustainable organisational design and advises on best HR practices for startups.

    “The idea was to create a learning and development unit within Passion Connect, the idea is to offer this service to various portfolio companies we have,” Rawal said.

    With teams across Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore and Pune, Passion Connect has worked with startups backed by Blume VC, like Unacademy, Slice, HealthifyMe, Dunzo, Cashify, and more.

    Passion Connect has hired over 760 candidates, including chief executive officers and senior vice presidents for prominent startups.

    The leadership team of Passion Connect has been mentored by Blume Ventures’ Ashish Fafadia (partner) and Arpit Agarwal (director).

    “The growth plans for Passion Connect is to cater to the growth aspirations of startups in India. We do not want to become another HR consultancy firm rather we want to cater to the growing needs of startups of today,” Rawal said.

    Passion Connect acquired executive search firm, Basil Advisors in February of 2020.

    Passion Connect has hired over 750 professionals across the ecosystem, facilitated acquisitions across startups and run talent branding projects in industries like logistics tech, deeptech, insurance tech, cleantech, and cloud communications.
