Maharashtra sees 53.40% turnout in 3rd phase of LS polls for 11 seats
Maharashtra's third phase of the general elections saw a voter turnout of 54.09% in 11 out of 48 Lok Sabha constituencies. The first two phases of polling in the state saw over 62% voter turnout. The Kolhapur seat saw the highest turnout at 63.71%, while the Baramati seat recorded the lowest at 47.84%. Prominent contestants included Shahu Chhatrapati of the Congress in Kolhapur, Udayanraje Bhosale of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Satara, and Union minister Narayan Rane in Ratnagiri-Sindhudurg.
