Atiq Ahmed's son buried amid tight security in UP's Prayagraj

Asad Ahmad, the son of gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed, who was killed in an encounter with the Uttar Pradesh police earlier this week, was laid to rest at Prayagraj's Kasari Masari graveyard on Saturday under heavy security. The funeral was only attended by a few relatives and some locals, as the police barred media from the premises. Despite Atiq's request to attend his son's funeral, he could not be present, as Friday was a court holiday on the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti. Ahmad and his accomplice Ghulam were both killed in the encounter and were wanted in connection with a murder case.
