    Hathras Stampede: Six arrested in incident so far, says Aligarh IG

    Aligarh Inspector General (IG) Shalabh Mathur confirmed the arrest of six individuals connected to the Hathras incident. The arrested individuals, comprising four men and two women, were all members of the organising committee and served as 'Sevadars' during the event.

Earlier, on Friday, the BJP announced election in-charges for four poll-bound states -- Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh. Telangana and Madhya Pradesh. While Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi was appointed as the BJP's Rajasthan election in-charge, former Gujarat deputy chief minister Nitin Patel and Haryana leader Kuldeep Bishnoi were appointed as co-in charges.

    BJP appoints union ministers as incharges for upcoming state polls

    Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi was appointed as BJP's Rajasthan in-charge and former Gujarat deputy CM Nitin Patel was named the co-in-charge. In Chhattisgarh, senior party leader Om Prakash Mathur was made the incharge while Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya was named the co-incharge. Former Union minister Prakash Javadekar was made the election incharge for Telangana with Sunil Bansal as the co-incharge.

    Former Gujarat deputy chief minister Nitin Patel and Haryana leader Kuldeep Bishnoi will be co-incharges for the Rajasthan polls, and Union minister Mansukh Mandaviya will be the co-incharge for Chhattisgarh. Union minister Ashwini Vaishnaw will be the co-incharge for Madhya Pradesh while the party's national general secretary Sunil Bansal has been given the same responsibility for Telangana, the statement said.
