    Former CEO of Reckitt Benckiser Group Plc, Rakesh Kapoor, has launched the $100-million 12 Flags India Consumer Fund which will invest in early growth businesses in the consumer sector over the next three years. The fund will focus mainly on sectors including consumer health and wellness, pet and companion animal, coffee, food, nutrition, quick-service restaurants, and consumer discretionary.

    Kapoor, 63, has been lodged in a Mumbai jail since March 2020 after he was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate in connection with alleged financial irregularities and purported kickbacks paid to him and his family members in return for certain dubious loans provided by Yes Bank to some high-profile borrowers.
