Currently retailing in western India, the company aims to have 1950 fuel retail outlets, including 250 additions by the end of 2024.

      Snap-E Cabs, Jio-bp launch EV charging hub in Kolkata

      Snap-E Cabs and Jio-bp unveiled a new electric vehicle charging hub in Kolkata. The hub, located in the basement of Axis Mall, has 150 stations, including 26 with one-hour rapid charging technology. It operates under the Jio-bp brand, a joint venture between Reliance Industries and British Petroleum. The hub was inaugurated by the British High Commissioner to India and the British Deputy High Commissioner to East & North-East India. Snap-E Cabs plans to expand its network to 2,500 charging stations by the end of the fiscal year.

      OALP 8: ONGC wins seven, Reliance-BP, Sun Petro & Oil India win one block each

      India had offered 10 blocks for bidding of which ONGC won seven, Oil India, Sun Petrochemicals, and a consortium of Reliance Industries Ltd and BP Plc got one area each. Contracts for the 10 blocks were signed on Wednesday. "Estimated investments in awarded blocks for committed exploration work program is to the tune of $7.4 Million," the press statement added.

      Diesel, petrol consumption rises year-on-year on increased mobility

      ​The overall consumption of refined fuels rose 6.5% in August from a year earlier. The gains in sales of petrol and diesel in August have mainly been on account of the private fuel retailers. State fuel retailers such as Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum and Hindustan Petroleum together sold 2.9% less diesel in August over last year and 0.4% more petrol.
