SBICAP Ventures provides the financing, and Colliers India assists in securing funding. The project aims to be completed with the support of SWAMIH I's corpus of over Rs 15,530 crore, with investors including SBI, LIC, and HDFC.

    SJVN secures Rs 10,000 cr construction finance facility from banks

    State-owned SJVN Ltd has secured a Rs 10,000 crore construction finance facility to fund its renewable energy projects from leading domestic and international lenders. The facility, a first-of-its-kind transaction, was arranged by SJVN Green Energy Limited (SGEL) in association with SBI Capital Markets Ltd (SBI CAPS). The facility will allow SJVN to draw down funds on an ongoing basis, enabling it to fast-track the development of under-construction renewable energy projects.

    The government is nudging banks to engage more actively with the 'special window' it has set up to facilitate the completion of stuck real estate projects of more than ₹ 3 lakh crore.
