    Interim bail for Kejriwal in PMLA case, CM to stay in jail due to arrest by CBI

    The Centre will implement e-office in attached, subordinate offices, and autonomous bodies as per DARPG's 100-day agenda.     Assam: Janata Bhawan solar project inaugurated; becomes first civil secretariat in India to rely fully on solar power

    Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma inaugurated the Janata Bhawan Solar Project, a 2.5-Mw power generation capacity grid connected rooftop and ground-mounted solar PV system. The project will generate an average of 3 lakh units of electricity monthly, with an investment of Rs. 12.56 crore expected to be recovered within four years. The project will make the Assam Secretariat Complex the first civil secretariat in the country to rely entirely on solar generated electricity for daily consumption.

      Preparations for the 18th Lok Sabha include landscaping the Parliament complex and implementing a paperless registration system for newly elected MPs. The Central Vista project is renovating the entire parliament building to create a more interconnected complex, overseen by the CPWD. Newly elected MPs will register at the Parliament House Annexe, with arrangements for transit accommodation at Western Court and state Bhavans. Residences for MPs will be allocated using an automated mechanism.

      Seizure of drugs by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) across all states have gone up by 160% between 2014 and December 2023 when compared to 2006-2013, according to home ministry data. NCB has registered 210% more drug-related cases during the same period. In Punjab, which goes to polls on June 1, drones have been recovered and drugs seized, making it among one of the top states as far as drug seizures are concerned.

      The Supreme Court granted interim bail to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, allowing him to campaign for the ongoing Lok Sabha elections until June 1. However, he is directed not to visit the office of the Chief Minister or the Delhi Secretariat during this period and must surrender before Tihar jail authorities on June 2. Kejriwal is also prohibited from signing official files unless necessary for obtaining clearance from the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi.
